Guided by the Light

Díyáfat-i-Kalimát, the Feast of Words

There comes a point in the life of the sálik when she becomes awakened to the impact of the impression which has been engraved upon her heart and soul. From that point on the sálik lives her life in the mediated presence of the path. The path then becomes for her not a mere concept but a metaphysical entity, the spiritual embodiment of the presence of Sakínah, free of the rigidity and self-righteousness that moralistic systems tend to acquire. If the sálik is attentive enough, she shall find that she is guided by the path.
